My name is Marina. I was born in the small but beautiful country of Croatia, on the Adriatic Sea coast, now part of the EU.

I finished college, got my Master’s degree, then I worked as a teacher for over 15 years until 2020. I have always loved logic-based puzzles and tried to incorporate them into my teachings and educational materials.

I have struggled with weight loss for the longest time. I tried all the diets and weight loss systems, and nothing worked.

One day, I had to buy a new phone. Since I love good deals, I looked for where I could get something extra for the same price, not just the phone. Huawei had a sale: buy a phone, get a smart scale for free.

I started using the smart scale every day, hit the gym, and watched my diet, but my weight still fluctuated randomly. I couldn’t figure it out until one day, I had my journal open alongside the weight app. As I started comparing more and more data, week after week, month after month, I noticed coincidences that were too frequent to be mere coincidences.

I realized that no matter what I did – gym or diet – if I was happy, I was losing weight, and if I was depressed, I was gaining weight. That was the determining factor.

But the problem was, due to the economy, recession, and overall state we are in, depression days were more frequent than happy days.

I wanted to solve puzzles, but I asked myself, am I fit for puzzles? Am I allowed to just sit and solve puzzles when I should be exercising and trying to lose weight?

This led to a then-funny concept: becoming fit enough to solve sudoku puzzles or any other puzzle.

As time went by, a logo was even developed for my fictional weight loss program, and then I started selling puzzle books for Kindle Scribe but just regular puzzle books.

I asked my daughter to draw the Kindle Scribe stylus in a funny way. Cover design for Fit For Puzzle book series and what really sealed the deal on Kindle Scribe books branding is special drawing of Kindle Scribe Stylus Pen that was hand drawn by my daughter Melanie.

Her drawing ignited entire brand into the new levels.

I pushed myself to make Fit For Puzzle a reality and truly do everything in my power in 2024 and 2025 to become fit again – Fit For Puzzle.

I am not claiming you can lose weight with my method; I am just saying I will try, and hopefully, in a year or two, you will see a new, lighter me.
